Poker and card games at RMKING8: tables, rules and rebates

RMking8's Poker tab is broader than its name suggests. Six providers sit in the vendor strip: KS Gaming, Kings Poker, KingMidas, Good Fortune Gaming, 365 Chess and Card, and Baison. Together they cover three kinds of game:

• Real-player poker: Texas Hold'em and short-deck rooms where you play other members for a share of the pot.
• Banker card games: Pok Deng, Bai Cao, Teen Patti, Three Pictures, 32 Cards, Lieng and blackjack against the house or a rotating banker.
• Quick-result games: Tai Xiu, Sic Bo, Fish Prawn Crab, 7 Up 7 Down, Coin Toss, Xoc Dia and Money Wheel, where rounds settle in seconds.

Because the lobby mixes skill and pure-chance games, it pays to know which is which before you choose a table.

Each player gets two private cards. Five shared cards are dealt face up in three stages: the flop (three cards), the turn (one) and the river (one). You make the best five-card hand from any combination of your two cards and the five on the board. There are four betting rounds: before the flop, after the flop, after the turn and after the river. In each one you can check, bet, call, raise or fold.

Because you play against people, decisions matter. Fold weak starting hands, play more hands from late position (closer to the dealer button), and size your bets relative to the pot. The operator's rake, a small percentage of each pot, is the cost of the seat.

Pok Deng

Pok Deng is a Thai two-or-three-card game scored like baccarat: only the last digit counts and 9 is best. A two-card 8 or 9 is a "Pok" and wins immediately. Suited or paired cards pay a "Deng" multiplier, two or three times the stake.

Bai Cao and Three Pictures

Both use three cards. Bai Cao takes the last digit of the total, and three picture cards is the top hand. Three Pictures ranks hands with picture cards above any numeric total.

Blackjack

Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Basic strategy, a published chart of when to hit, stand, double or split, brings the house edge under 1% on standard rules. That makes blackjack one of the cheapest games in the whole lobby if you follow the chart.

Tai Xiu, Sic Bo and Fish Prawn Crab

All three use three dice. Tai Xiu means Big (11–17) or Small (4–10). Fish Prawn Crab replaces numbers with six animal symbols, and you win for every die that shows your symbol. These are pure chance with fast rounds, so watch the clock as well as the balance.

Andar Bahar and Teen Patti

These are Indian classics. In Andar Bahar you bet which side a matching card lands on first. Teen Patti is three-card poker with its own hand ranking, where a trail (three of a kind) is the best hand.

Card-game bets count towards the effective turnover that moves you up the VIP ladder: 30,000 for VIP 2, 300,000 for VIP 3 and 1,000,000 for VIP 4. Upgrade rewards run from MYR 28 to MYR 588 across those levels. Bets on opposite sides of the same round do not count as valid turnover anywhere on the site.

In player-versus-player rooms, the busiest tables are not always the best ones. A quieter table at lower stakes gives you time to think, which matters more than the size of the pot while you learn.

1. Separate skill games from chance games in your head and in your budget. A good Hold'em player can still lose quickly on Tai Xiu.
2. Read the table info before sitting down. Rake, minimum buy-in and time bank differ between rooms.
3. Use the blackjack chart every hand. Deviating on "feel" is the most common and most expensive mistake.
4. Avoid tilt. After three big losses in a row, leave the table for at least ten minutes.
5. Claim your rebate the next day under Member › Manual rebate, or let it pay out automatically after 2:00 AM.
