A fishing game is an arcade-style table seen from above. Sea creatures swim across the screen, and you aim a cannon at them. Every shot costs a fixed amount from your balance, and every creature carries a multiplier. A small fish might be worth 2x the shot, a turtle 20x, and a dragon or boss 300x or more. When a shot "catches" a creature, you win its multiplier times your shot value. The catch itself is random. Bigger targets take more hits on average before they fall.

Cannon level

The plus and minus buttons beside your turret change the cost per shot. The payout multiplier stays the same at every level, so a higher level only scales both cost and reward. Raise it when a high-value target is on screen and drop it again for the small schools of fish.

Lock-on and auto-fire

Lock-on keeps your shots on one chosen target. Auto-fire shoots continuously. Together they are convenient, but they burn ammunition at the fastest possible rate. Set a shot or time limit first if the game offers one.

Special weapons

Many tables drop bombs, drills, laser cannons or chain-lightning crabs. These hit several targets at once. They are triggered by catching a specific creature, not bought separately, and their value is already built into the game's return.

Boss and jackpot targets

Golden dragons, giant octopuses and jackpot treasure chests appear on a timer or at random. Their multipliers are large, but so is the number of hits they absorb. Firing at a boss at a high cannon level is the quickest way to lose a session budget.

Table names and line-ups change as studios release new versions. The "New Games" filter is the quickest way to see what has arrived since your last visit.

The easiest way to stay in control is to count shots, not ringgit:

1. Pick a session budget, for example MYR 50.
2. Choose a cannon level that gives at least 250 shots from that budget (MYR 0.20 per shot in this example).
3. Spend the first 50 shots on small fish to learn how the table pays and how often specials drop.
4. Only raise the level when a boss appears, and agree with yourself in advance how many shots you will spend on it.
5. Stop at the budget or at a target, such as doubling the starting balance, whichever comes first.

Fishing results are random. No pattern, seat position or time of day makes a catch more likely, and no plan removes the house edge.
